I used apple app and have no issues!

Not an old app. I use it a lot especially for House Hunters International which is actually quite sparse but doesnt seem like it should lock up like this. Simply wont update.

I just got the app yesterday and for the first two episodes I tried to watch it worked but then now every time I try to watch something it is an episode full of ads and not one part of the show!! After about 11-12 min of a 21 min show it just buffers and then crashes out of the app! Dont download

I love that I can watch anything on the go! HGTV is definitely the app of our time!

This app is awful. Its got 3x the commercials as Hulu. It will freeze in the middle of an episode at least twice and then you are forced to rewatch another ad. If you try to fast forward/rewind it will freeze and close or fast forward too far and you will have to have to watch another 2 minutes of ads. The icons for the reveal shows are the finished houses which spoils the point of the reveal. I love their shows but this app is terrible.

Great TV channel...poor app. I have to restart the app every time a show is over if I want to select a new one. Please fix!

Every time I close the app and reopen, Im asked to sign in. This shouldnt keep happening!

Im SICK of authenticating this over and over every time I use it.

App states that full seasons are available once signed in with a TV provider. However, the same limited slate of show episodes are available whether signed in or signed out of the app.

We like the HGTV shows, but this app makes them impossible to watch! We just tried to stream an episode of home town and had a 115 second break for commercials that were built into the app, then a round of normal commercials as you would see when watching TV live and then another 120 second grouping of commercials built into the app! Terrible!! We will just go back to using the DVR. Stop the money grabbing HGTV!

Episodes are difficult to scroll through and out of order like many of the other reviews state. I also dislike that the next episode doesnt play automatically. The app wont let me even go back to the show list to select the next episode; I have to close the entire app, search for my show, then scroll back through a really long list to look for the next episode, which is difficult to find since they are out of order. Its also frustrating that the app doesnt remember where you left off in the season of whatever show youre watching. The shows are awesome but the app functionality is absolutely terrible.

The app doesnt work with Direct TV, constantly requires logging out and logging back in to watch more than one episode at a time, and is poorly organized and cluttered. It wont let me watch multiple episodes in order, constantly tells me that Im not authorized to use the app with my tv subscription (and I have HGTV at home) and then logs me out. Whats the point of an app if it cant be used?

Some of the episodes that I want to watch rarely come on tv. So I got this app, and Its amazing! I have all the shows right there in front of me. But a flaw is that the episodes arent in order. That really bugs me.

The organization of the episodes and shows is horrendous. The episodes are in a random order, and when one episode is over it doesnt continue to the next in order. Who thought that would be a good idea?! We have to read through every thumbnail to see which season / episode it is. Please separate the episodes by season, and play them in CHRONOLOGICAL order. Also, the volume of ads needs to be adjusted by your ad provider. Its startling every time an ad starts playing.

Overall the app is great. The biggest problem is the ads are significantly louder than the shows, so every time an ad comes on you have to turn the tv down or get blown away by the volume! Also, wish you could sort thru the episodes by season instead of them all being in one long scroll list.

Single sign on with DirectTV subscription 100% DOES NOT work on iOS or tvOS. Ive signed out from my TV provider, reinstalled the app multiple times and still am asked to sign into my account literally every single day. Not sure to blame Apple or HGTV or DirectTV, but regardless, its an absolute nightmare!

Will not let me sign-in!
